Coronation Street spoilers follow.
Coronation Street‘s newest fan theory has predicted a major return from the dead for one character as fans speculate that Lisa Swain‘s deceased wife Becky may still be alive.
In scenes that aired recently, Betsy found some old files regarding her late mum Becky and wanted answers from Lisa about the death.
Lisa told Carla that she didn’t want Betsy to find a letter which said that Becky was being investigated for corruption before she died.
It was also revealed that Lisa and Becky had got into a massive argument before Becky was killed in a hit and run accident while she was on duty as a police officer.
While Lisa and Betsy both believe that Becky is dead, a new fan theory has suggested that the character has been alive the whole time.

“Following last week’s events with Betsy & Lauren. Do you think Becky Swain could still be alive or do you think this side of the #Swarla story won’t get revisited? #Corrie,” one fan penned on X.
Another viewer wrote: “I think Becky might still be alive and I also think there’s gotta be a shocking twist that will erupt that Becky might actually be Lauren’s estranged mother and it will reveal a shocking revelation that Betsy and Lauren will both soon find out they’re actually sisters.”
One fan quipped: “I’d like to say if corrie are determined to resurrect Becky Swain back from the dead…I’m gonna require a refund and a year compensation payment for my anxiety medication….just saying!!”

Fans also took to social media to share their theories on the cold case that Lisa was working on during tonight’s episode, suggesting it has something to do with Becky’s corruption case.
A fan said: “Why do I get the feeling this “cold case” Lisa is investigating is connected to bloody Becky?” While another viewer wrote: “Lisa is undoubtedly still investigating Becky’s death and corruption allegations. It’s clear this is what had her rattled today.”
“Anyway Lisa be investigating Becky’s case and will find loop holes whilst she’s now tied to a desk with all this time on her hands where she’s not arresting teenagers. It’s all gonna come crashing down like a game of Jenga,” shared another.
Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
